I Would Describe Myself As

Definitely atypical. I read, research, and write all the time, usually on whatever idea or thought that happened to be given to me from the big guy recently. I play piano and sing; guitar is NOT coming along nicely. I can have in-depth conversations about a myriad of subjects when I’ve decided the person in question is capable of, up for, and worth it. Incredibly empathetic, though not incredibly sensitive. Your dogs and cats will probably love me more than you, but your dogs will always steal the spotlight. If you’re the kind of woman who would get jealous of my affection for a dog, just go ahead and pass me by. I love guns and shooting, but don’t hunt or fish. Not into sports if it has nothing to do with driving. “I’m a very good driver” as the quote goes; I’ve had several professional off-road, high-speed driving gigs, and drive more miles off-road than most do on. Since I don’t thrive on scaring people while I’m doing “my” driving, I’m thinking my other half needs to be the type of person who digs roller-coasters. It’s not all fast, either. A back-road at 30 exploring the night away is the usual SOP. I’m an Army Veteran, honorably discharged. I’ve chosen Management as a career path as it provides ample possibilities across myriad fields. I’ve been able to step into anything from farming, to dog training, to data science, to insurance, and several more. I enjoy the challenge of mastering new things (but that damn guitar). If I do open up to you, you’re not going to realize there is a squirrel running around upstairs, no, you’ll notice there are several. I fill up at least two legal pads with ideas and their associated research every month, and I’ve learned my other half will need to be secure in occupying themselves as well. My sense of humor varies from person to person and the situation, but sarcasm is a staple. My music tastes are incredibly varied, but country is usually the focus (although I can sing along with anything from The Phantom of the Opera to Backstreet Boys). Movie preference is lax as well, though overly sappy isn’t at the top of the list. It’s very hard for me to only sit and watch something, but I can drive all day and night in the Jeep. Hopefully there is a Jeep girl out there somewhere. Still in decent shape, but not where I want to be just yet. Recently decided figuring out ways to workout regardless of my back issues, so I’m excited to be back on track. Also, I don’t yet live in the area; I am looking into taking a job out there, so any thoughts on living in the area would be much appreciated.
