I Would Describe Myself As

Single mom of two kids (aged 22 and 15) who don't need me much anymore. I have great friends and family, and have been on my own for a while, but it would nice to have a partner and possible soft spot to land sometimes. I love my job, but am driven and always trying to move up to provide a better life for the kids and me. I don't need someone to take of me or financially provide, but I would want someone with the same ambition. I'd really love someone who appreciates my dark and sometimes absurd humor, you know, like shakes his head and goes "what are you going to do? She's a weirdo, but she's my weirdo". I value my alone time, so it's not like I'd expect you to do everything with me - that's when I recharge. I love hockey and boxing, but prefer more intellectual pursuits, like reading, writing, and the performing arts. I love laughing so hard you can barely breathe, but also enjoy deep conversations that lead to more questions and pursuit for answers. I love nature and used to be quite the yogi, but I need to get back to that. My faith is important to me, and while you don't need to believe exactly what I do, but I'd appreciate if you at least respect it. Thing I'm most proud of aside from my kids is beating breast cancer back in 2021. All is well now, but it definitely does change you. It takes less to make me happy, and I notice and appreciate smaller things in life. Nature, my family, my friends, dogs, a perfect cup.of coffee, a good story, searching for sea glass.. all make me happy. If any of this resonates with you, I would like to talk more.
