I Would Describe Myself As

Father of 3, grandfather to 5, looking for a long term relationship.....I'm a man whose childhood memories are that of a Brooklyn street kid, facing ever present daily challenges to survive; acquiring the defensive and offensive strategies one must incorporate into his existence to meet those challenges. I consider myself intelligent; however, I let the knowledge taken from the “school of hard knocks” guide my decisions; whether at play or a business negotiation. In my youth you would most likely find me hanging out in a dingy smoked filled pool room hustling the colorful clientele or sometimes being hustled, dare I admit. Of course, there were also the active times for football, softball, stickball hoops, handball, boxball, hit the penny, and flipping coins to baseball cards as well. If times were lean, and that was almost always, I would take a wad of Bazooka bubble gum, position it perfectly on the tip of a stickball bat, and test my ability to find dropped coins that found their way into the local sewer drain. Now that’s “fishing “Since I have been successful with the transition from youth to adulthood; I find that I have mellowed somewhat with age during the transformation. If engaging conversation is on your list of desires, then I dare say I should be able to provide an alternative view on a broad spectrum of subjects and hope to be able to keep up with you in that arena. I’m romantic, loving, protective, affectionate, funny and communicative. My taste level and spectrum of interests has broadened over the decades. I have, over the years acquired the taste for the finer things in life, such as the taste of exotic food when the palette finally comes to understand the complexity, the sweet bouquet and appreciation of a fine wine, the warmth and majesty of a beautiful sunrise and how it leaves your soul feeling throughout the day, the smell of the mountains on a crisp morning, the appreciation for the arts and theatre and let’s not leave out music from Beethoven to Led Zeppelin and of course please include jazz, blues, and current offerings as part of the mix. You can expect to experience spontaneity at times, for I like to just take off to that sunrise or a majestic sunset. Great with romantic walks and I'm not one of those guys that has trouble with affection in either direction. As most of us, I have experienced the ups and downs of relationships and have learned to take responsibility for my shortcomings, which I admit have been more than a few. Old romantic flicks are something I will admit to being taken with; and if you catch a tear present under my eye, I'll say it must be caused by allergies.
